Collaborative Projects
Collaborative projects have always been at the core of Studio De Hache. Connecting artists is a beautiful thing.
Inspired by creative ideas of using traditionally produced Mesoamerican pottery as an artistic vehicle for contemporary artists unfamiliar with, or eager to explore, the media. Artistic evolution fed by collaborative prototypes, brought the identification of commonalities in visual achievement. The sgraffito etching technique being of particular utility to lined-dominant graffiti work. That translation from mural or canvas to one-of-a-kind, volcanic clay, log fired, and hand etched ceramic is noteworthy.
Our projects are conceived to serve as a bridge for established contemporary artists to collaborate with recognized artisan masters in the centuries old techniques of hand thrown, etched and painted ceramics; allowing for their creative visions to be elaborated into this thriving artistic medium.
The result is undoubtedly ceramic art.
